I adapted a book into a major, multiple award-winning series about the music, culture and political landscape of an extraordinary year. I was show-runner through to the end of post. Marshalling an enormous amount of research, archive and music and navigating complex licensing issues, I wrote and lead the team on 4x 90min films and then re-versioned into 8 parts. Working with the Oscar and Grammy-winning team behind Amy, Senna and Maradona. I also directed half the films, which were made entirely from archive stills, footage and audio, and I also directed interviews with those directly involved in the music and events of the time.
